Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Full time

Overview of the Role

Contract Duration

We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity to become a vital member of our Improvement and Programme Delivery Team, focusing on the effective implementation of our innovative Electronic Prescriptions and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system throughout the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

The EPMA initiative stands as a cornerstone of our Think Digital Programme, aimed at revolutionizing and enhancing our existing paper-based prescribing and medicines administration practices across the Trust.

The successful applicant will possess extensive experience in steering large-scale, intricate digital initiatives to fruition, ideally within a healthcare and social care context.

If you seek a rewarding challenge, appreciate diversity in your responsibilities, and aspire to contribute to a team dedicated to making a positive impact in our community, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the strategic planning and execution of the EPMA initiative. Actively engage with stakeholders (including external suppliers), addressing and resolving conflicts through effective facilitation and negotiation. Assist the project in conveying information and presenting to diverse groups, fostering collaboration and service enhancements in the face of resistance to change. Advocate for the project's significance and negotiate timelines for delivery. Secure commitment and active involvement from all stakeholders by utilizing exceptional influencing and negotiation skills to achieve consensus. Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex, sensitive, and challenging information, particularly when addressing barriers to acceptance and resistance to change, especially in clinical performance discussions with clinical and management teams. Establish and uphold robust governance structures, including project risk and issue management, to ensure that delivery risks and benefit realization are clearly understood and appropriately managed.

About Our Organization

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality care with compassion, enhancing the health and well-being of the individuals we serve, while empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Our clinical teams provide a wide array of NHS services not only in inpatient and primary care settings but also within the community. These services encompass mental and physical health for children, adults, and older individuals, as well as forensic and specialized mental health, learning disabilities, primary care, liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, and social care, alongside research and development initiatives.

To fulfill our mission, we aim to attract high-caliber candidates who align with our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all sectors of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including individuals with disabilities and members of ethnic minorities and LGBTQ+ communities.
