Position Overview

The ideal candidate for this role will serve as a key expert in the realm of Information Security, demonstrating extensive knowledge across a variety of technologies, tools, and methodologies. The main duties of this position involve the identification, analysis, and prioritization of vulnerabilities within the organization. The selected individual will be expected to offer proactive security recommendations and engage in threat hunting initiatives informed by threat intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc system audits and vulnerability assessments of systems, internal applications, and Cloud services to uncover security weaknesses.
  • Document, prioritize, and formally report on the status of assets and vulnerabilities as remediation efforts progress.
  • Analyze cyber threat intelligence and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
  • Engage in threat hunting and retrospective analysis on Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams in Networking, Desktop Engineering, Compute, and others to monitor and report on vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis using various tools, including scripting, databases, and Excel.
  • Develop and maintain metrics reporting for governance and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting and development, particularly with Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience in data manipulation using a variety of tools, including SQL, Excel, and other analytical platforms.
  • Familiarity with log analysis and the review of security events.
  • Hands-on experience with major vulnerability scanning tools such as Rapid7, Tenable, Qualys, nmap, and others is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, Cloud environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Email systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking, data transmission, and encryption protocols.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across various teams.
  • Able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure, and constantly evolving environment.
