Job Summary:

The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, including patient consultations, health assessments, and disease management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine and emergency patient consultations, taking a full medical history, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and values.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including referrals to specialists and other services as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices, and apply this knowledge in clinical practice.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid license to practice in the UK.
  • Experience working in primary care, preferably in a general practice setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
