Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join one of our long-standing clients, Sheffield Hallam University, in their Hallam Help team.

Your role will be to provide high-quality, customer-centred advice and guidance by primarily answering queries and providing support during the busy start of semester period.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering First-Level Support: Provide advice and guidance to students, staff, external organisations, and visitors, adhering to service standards.
  • Collaborative Support: Work in collaboration with other University services to ensure prevention, early intervention, and timely resolution of practical and/or welfare issues.
  • Administrative Systems: Ensure effective use of administrative systems, record keeping within an agreed framework.
  • Confidentiality and Diplomacy: Maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive issues with appropriate tact and diplomacy, working in accordance with data protection legislation.

Requirements:

  • Administrative Experience: Previous administrative experience.
  • Customer Service Skills: Experience with dealing with customer issues and resolutions, answering queries, and signposting/escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working effectively in an environment of regulations and procedures, e.g. Data Protection Legislations.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Work Ethic: Excellent work ethic with a positive can-do attitude.

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
  • Pay rate: £12.60 per hour.
  • Temporary assignment, 7 weeks only.
