Job Title: Financial Trustee/Treasurer

About the Role:

The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Trustee/Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial affairs of the charity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the charity's financial health and ensure financial stability.
  • Oversee the management of the charity's bank accounts and investment portfolio.
  • Work with the Chief Executive on the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide regular updates to the Board.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Trustees and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
  • Consult with external auditors and oversee the audit process.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or charities.
  • Professional accounting qualification is a plus.
