Islington Law Centre is a leading charity providing free legal advice and casework in specialist areas of social welfare law. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasurer and Trustee to join our Board of Trustees.

About the Role

The Treasurer and Trustee will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of our organization. This includes overseeing our financial management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance on our financial planning and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Board of Trustees and senior management team
  • Oversee the preparation of our annual budget and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial governance standards
  • Provide strategic guidance on financial planning and budgeting
  • Work closely with our senior management team to ensure effective financial management and control
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasurer and Trustee who can bring their expertise and passion for financial governance to our organization. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in financial management and governance, preferably in a non-profit or charity sector
  • Strong financial leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
