Job Title: Financial Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Governance Specialist to join our board at Trustees Unlimited LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to ensure the effective management of our charity's finances.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably with experience in charity finance or a similar sector. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to bring financial information to life for non-finance specialists. Your ability to balance risk and opportunity will be essential in driving the charity's financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial guidance and oversight to ensure the effective management of the charity's finances.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive the charity's growth and success.
  • Work closely with the charity's leadership team to ensure financial decisions are aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and laws.
Personal Qualities and Skills
  • Strong understanding of charity governance and the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of a trustee.
  • Relevant experience in the voluntary sector or transferable skills from the public or private sector.
  • Strong personal commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
