Biomedical Scientist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality, patient-focused service in the laboratory, working closely with the departmental team to deliver a cost-effective and efficient service.
Main Responsibilities:- Participate in the routine work of the laboratory, following laboratory procedures and maintaining the accreditation requirements of UKAS.
- Carry out laboratory analyses, including reporting results, maintaining records, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Undertake specialized analytical work in designated areas of the department.
- Participate in the department's rosters and take delegated responsibility for the quality control, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Supervise, train, and coach staff, and take responsibility for the development of new methods and the implementation of new technology.
- State registered BMS (HCPC registration)
- At least 12 months UKAS accredited (ISO hospital laboratory experience)
- Supervisory skills and ability to organize work effectively
