We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Lived Experience Support Worker. As a champion for our clients, you will share your personal experiences and knowledge to provide a safe and supportive environment for those struggling with substance misuse.

As a key member of our Recovery Worker team, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop a support plan that is tailored to their individual circumstances. Your personal experiences will provide invaluable insight and a credible link for our clients, allowing you to offer a unique and empathetic approach to support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to share their experiences and develop a support plan
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored support
  • Share personal experiences and knowledge to provide a credible and empathetic approach to support
  • Collaborate with the Recovery Worker team to ensure clients receive a comprehensive package of support
  • Develop and implement activities and initiatives based on client feedback
Requirements
  • Personal lived experience of substance misuse
  • Completed treatment at least 12 months ago
  • Knowledgeable and compassionate around substance misuse issues
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under instruction as part of a team
  • Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends
