Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Grand Union Housing Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers feel safe, supported, and empowered in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Provide high-quality support to customers, helping them to live independently and safely in their own homes.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls, providing 24-hour support on a scheduled rota.
- Property Management: Conduct property viewings, guide customers on available services, and assist with property repairs.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with customers based on their individual support needs.
- Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments for customers and properties, making safeguarding referrals as needed.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with customers through regular visits and check-ins.
- Administrative Tasks: Keep customer records up-to-date and ensure scheme audits and health & safety checks are completed.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive) and Teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent listening and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Administrative Skills: Strong administrative and record-keeping skills, with the ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Flexibility and a willingness to embrace new challenges, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
