About the Role

An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a part of the External Reporting division, overseeing our financial reporting operations.

As a segment of Central Finance, our team comprises approximately twenty professionals situated in both London and Bristol. We are tasked with orchestrating and managing all facets of the external reporting framework.

Our responsibilities include generating quarterly News Releases, Interim Management Statements, comprehensive Financial Documents at year-end, as well as the Group's US filings and FINREP submissions.

Furthermore, we oversee the financial governance for Lloyds Bank and the Bank of Scotland.

Shareholders and regulatory bodies depend on LBG's externally reported figures to evaluate risks and make critical decisions, and it is our duty to ensure they receive the most precise and trustworthy data available.

This role is particularly thrilling.

We are positioned at the core of the Group, reviewing and consolidating inputs from all of LBG's diverse business lines.

With transactions occurring daily involving 30 million customers, we play a vital role in communicating this information to the public.

Effective line management and relationship handling will be essential, as will the capacity to critically analyze and interpret financial data.

If this resonates with you, this could be the ideal position.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be instrumental in the preparation of UK financial documents, 20F reporting to the SEC, and FINREP submissions to the PRA and EBA.

Your primary duties will encompass:

Exhibiting the utmost accuracy in reviews and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the financial information reported is of the highest quality.

Establishing and nurturing connections with colleagues, teams, and finance leadership across the UK and globally, providing clear guidance on the group reporting process.

Maintaining a robust financial control environment, ensuring the effective design and ongoing operation of SOX and other essential controls.

Mentoring and supporting the team in their personal development objectives while ensuring consistent high-quality delivery.

Why Join Lloyds Banking Group

We are on an exciting journey to transform our organization and the way we are shaping finance for good.

Our focus is on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to create a great environment for everyone.

Including you.

What You Will Need

Strong analytical review capabilities.

A proven track record of continuous improvement and a genuine enthusiasm for simplifying and enhancing processes.

A comprehensive understanding of IFRS accounting standards and principles, acquired through ACA, ACCA, ACAS, or equivalent experience.

Prior experience with general ledger and consolidation systems is advantageous, though not mandatory.

About Us

Our commitment is to ensure inclusivity every day, building an organization that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

We are dedicated to creating a consciously inclusive workplace where our colleagues can be themselves, thrive, and perform at their best.

We were among the first major organizations to set diversity goals in senior roles, implement a menopause health package, and establish a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

As an inclusive employer, we provide Workplace Adjustments for colleagues with disabilities (which may include long-term health and neurodivergent conditions) where reasonable.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader. If you have a disability, you can also apply through our Disability Confident Scheme (DCS).

Through the DCS, we guarantee to interview a fair and proportionate number of applicants with disabilities whose applications meet the minimum criteria for the advertised role.

We also offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to eliminate barriers for applicants with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or neurodivergent conditions. If you require an adjustment to the recruitment process, please inform us.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

An annual performance-related bonus

Share schemes including free shares

Benefits adaptable to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping

30 days' holiday, in addition to bank holidays

A variety of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

If you are intrigued by the prospect of joining our team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
