Christmas Sales Coordinator Job Description

Village Hotels is seeking a Christmas Sales Coordinator to join our team from now through to the end of December 2024. As a Christmas Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting and coordinating our Christmas parties, private events, Pub & Grill parties, family gatherings, and children's events for our Christmas Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the sales planning of who to target as attendees at each event
  • Outreach activity to local businesses and organisations, including business parks, retail parks, schools, colleges, and sports clubs
  • In-reach promotional activity within the hotel to create interest and secure new bookings, such as leisure club member activity plans and lobby hosting
  • Proactive telephone calls to both past and potential new customers to secure bookings and answer any queries they may have
  • Upsell telephone calls to guests staying over the Christmas period
  • Assisting with the coordination of events, including chasing payments, menu & drinks choices, and dealing with any special requests
  • Learning to use the booking systems and updating this with the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner into Sales System
  • Research and action exposure on local organisations' intranets/social media and promotional forums
  • Updating Sales System with daily figures, inputting new ticket sales, and reconciling payments
  • Chasing final balance payments
Requirements:
  • Outgoing, personable character
  • Target-focused
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Great attention to detail
  • Confident on the telephone and face-to-face with clients
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Good written English
  • Experience of customer service (does not need to be hospitality)
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car
