About the Role

Village Hotels is seeking a skilled Christmas Party Coordinator to join our team from now through to the end of December 2024. As a Christmas Party Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in promoting and coordinating our Christmas parties, private events, and other festive activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with sales planning to target potential attendees at each event
  • Conduct outreach activities to local businesses and organizations to promote our events
  • Develop in-reach promotional activities within the hotel to create interest and secure new bookings
  • Make proactive telephone calls to past and potential new customers to secure bookings and answer queries
  • Upsell telephone calls to guests staying over the Christmas period
  • Coordinate events, including chasing payments, menu and drinks choices, and dealing with special requests
  • Learn to use our booking systems and update them with accurate and timely information
  • Research and action exposure on local organizations' intranets and promotional forums
  • Update our sales system with daily figures, inputting new ticket sales and reconciling payments
  • Chase final balance payments
Requirements
  • Outgoing and personable character
  • Target-focused and flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident on the telephone and face-to-face with clients
  • Knowledge of social media and good written English
  • Experience in customer service (not necessarily in hospitality)
  • Valid driving license and access to a car
