The Wakefield Central Youth Hub Team is seeking a dynamic and driven support worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering a comprehensive offer of support and activities for children and young people from age 11 to 24.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will support the team to develop and deliver a range of activities that promote positive health and wellbeing, including education, employment, and skill development opportunities.
  • You will work with schools, colleges, training providers, and employers to identify work placements and learning opportunities for young people and support them to access these opportunities.
  • You will contribute to the creation and delivery of engaging youth programs that address the needs and interests of our young people.

Essential Requirements
  • A relevant qualification recognised in youth work, youth justice, careers guidance, or education, together with registration with the relevant awarding or professional body.
  • Previous experience working directly with children and young people.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing interventions for this demographic.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the creation and delivery of engaging youth programs.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the barriers that certain groups experience in accessing services and support.
