The ideal candidate will take charge of planning and coordinating maintenance tasks while overseeing inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

Planning:
  • Develop a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure efficient task completion with appropriate resources.
  • Guarantee that the system accurately predicts and generates work orders with feasible timelines.
  • Continuously enhance the maintenance strategy, focusing on efficiency and reliability improvements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist the Reliability Technician in analyzing machine history to pinpoint critical areas for further examination.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors as necessary.
  • Prioritize safety in all operations and comply with relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Inventory Management:
  • Oversee daily stock management, ensuring proper storage of all goods.
  • Assess the criticality of parts, maintaining alignment with minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Ensure pre-kitting is executed for all major planned maintenance activities, guaranteeing availability of all necessary components.
  • Manage the stocktaking process and routinely investigate stock discrepancies.
  • Actively seek to minimize annual spare part expenses by exploring alternative suppliers and negotiating price breaks.

Candidate Profile

The successful Maintenance/Engineering Planner should possess:

  • A proven history in Manufacturing/Maintenance planning.
  • Experience in stock level management and inventory oversight.
  • Exposure to a maintenance environment, ideally within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or biochemical sectors.
  • A solid understanding of daily business operations.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in major IT tools, including Maintenance Management systems (e.g., SAP, MS Office).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong organizational skills and effectiveness.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A keen focus on data and metrics.
