We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electro-Mechanical Specialist to join our team at Reed Engineering. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, service, and repair work for all electro-mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Adhere to strict health and safety standards in all activities and promote a culture of safe working practices.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement periodic and condition-based preventative maintenance schedules to ensure high levels of reliability and efficiency.
- Reactive Service and Repair: Conduct 1st Level reactive service and repair work, diagnosing issues promptly and efficiently, utilizing OEM/third-party support where required.
- Engineering Expertise: Collaborate with operations teams to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements for electro-mechanical equipment.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments for all electro-mechanical equipment in liaison with the Engineering Manager.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional competence, including training and development as appropriate.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure procedure and maintenance records are maintained and audit technical support documentation for accuracy and availability.
- Inventory Management: Catalogue and audit technical spares and consumables, making recommendations and undertaking spares ordering as required.
- Qualifications: Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of PLC programming logic, ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings, and strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Soft Skills: Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with installation and support of PLC systems, CMMS systems, and high-quality and high-volume environments.
