Maintenance Engineer Job Opportunity

We are working with a leading manufacturer to find a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Luton, Bedfordshire. As the sole senior engineer on site, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance and PPMs, improving equipment efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Use mechanical skills to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes
  • Manage on-site contractors and engineers to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
Requirements:
  • Mechanical bias with ability to isolate and fault find electrically
  • Apprentice-trained background in a manufacturing setting
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Manufacturing industry experience working with welding/fabrication equipment
