Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Multiskilled Craftsperson with a strong focus on mechanical systems to become a vital part of our Engineering and Maintenance team in the Highlands. This role is essential for the seamless operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance team to provide proactive services that ensure the safety and efficiency of our water and wastewater facilities.
  • Utilize your mechanical expertise alongside electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
  • Engage in the maintenance and repair of various equipment, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks such as motor connections, fuse replacements, and trip testing.
  • Prioritize safety by conducting risk assessments and adhering to safe working practices.
  • Coordinate with office support to manage resources effectively for both planned and reactive work.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A completed apprenticeship and an HNC or SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A valid GB-issued Driving License, as this role requires travel to various sites.
  • A willingness to participate in a standby rota, with additional compensation provided.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding on-site activities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and online training modules.
  • A steadfast commitment to Health & Safety practices.
