Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Multiskilled Craftsperson with a strong Mechanical focus to enhance our Engineering and Maintenance team in the Highlands. This position is crucial for the upkeep of our operational facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of plant and equipment at Water and Waste Water facilities.
- Utilize mechanical expertise alongside electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges effectively.
- Engage in the maintenance and repair of various equipment, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct basic electrical tasks such as motor connections, fuse replacements, and testing.
- Prioritize safety by conducting risk assessments and adhering to safe working practices.
- Coordinate with office support to manage resources efficiently for both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed apprenticeship along with an HNC and/or SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- A valid GB-issued Driving License, as this role requires travel to various sites.
- Willingness to participate in a standby rota, with additional compensation provided.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders regarding ongoing work.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and online training modules.
- A steadfast commitment to Health & Safety protocols.
