About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our team as a Legal Counsel at Redde Northgate plc. As a key member of our Group Legal function, you will play a critical role in managing legal risk and providing expert advice to our commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and support commercial teams on legal matters related to commercial transactions, contracts, and risk management.
  • Draft, negotiate, and revise commercial contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on commercial law and procurement matters to ensure the company's interests are protected.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and provide expert advice on its impact on the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A practicing certificate as a qualified Solicitor with at least 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to think creatively and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and external agencies.
  • Sound grounding in commercial law, including procurement and contract law.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
