Job Description

Job Summary:

Lifelancer Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Project Scientist to join our Research Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our drug discovery and development efforts by applying advanced analytical techniques to derive insights from complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Advanced Data Analytics: Design and implement advanced data analytical strategies to support drug discovery and development programs.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex biological and chemical data sets to identify patterns, trends, and potential therapeutic targets and drug candidates.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemistry, biology, computational chemistry, and bioinformatics to drive decision-making throughout the drug discovery process.
  • Computational Approaches: Develop and apply innovative computational approaches to enhance data analysis and interpretation.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, bioinformatics, and machine learning, and integrate relevant methodologies into research projects.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in research analytics, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Team Management: Manage 1-2 direct reports and set the team up for growth, strengthen our digital talent, and foster a culture of open-minded co-creation of innovative solutions with internal/external network of partners.
  • Qualifications: PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise: Proven track record of applying advanced data analytical techniques to drug discovery and development projects.
  • Skills: Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. Strong programming skills in languages such as Linux, Python, Jupyter, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Experience: Experience working with large-scale biological and chemical data sets.
