Your Key Responsibilities

  • Code Analysis and Optimization: Analyze and profile code to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize algorithms for parallel and distributed computing.
  • Accelerating Applications: Use High Performance Computing techniques to accelerate applications, particularly those dealing with large-scale graph computations.
  • Architecture Optimization: Optimize code for heterogeneous (CPU + GPU) architectures or Fujitsu's Arm-based A64FX processor.

Requirements

  • PhD or Equivalent Qualification: A PhD or similar post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • High Performance Computing Experience: Experience with High Performance Computing techniques, including MPI, OpenMP, and Intel TBB.
  • Programming Skills: High proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Publication Record: A track record of writing academic publications in reputable journals or conferences.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Skills

  • Graph-Based Algorithms: Experience with graph-based algorithms, such as Graph Neural Networks.
  • Knowledge Graphs: Working knowledge of knowledge graphs and graph databases.
  • Healthcare Experience: Experience in a healthcare-related field, such as cell simulation, bioinformatics, or genomics.
