About the Role: As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cell culture and media formulations to produce novel biopharmaceutical drug substances. You will work in a laboratory-based environment, utilizing both bench and pilot scale bioreactors, and will be expected to undertake a range of research duties to aid in the development of protein therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cell culture and media formulations to produce novel biopharmaceutical drug substances
  • Work in a laboratory-based environment, utilizing both bench and pilot scale bioreactors
  • Undertake a range of research duties to aid in the development of protein therapeutics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Develop and implement new methods and techniques to improve process efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Biochemistry/Biotechnology (or other relevant discipline)
  • Excellent understanding of cell culture and fermentation systems
  • Working knowledge of mammalian expression systems, such as CHO
  • Understanding of protein analysis techniques
  • Experience using TECAN purification systems is highly desirable
  • Proficient trouble-shooter and problem solver
