Job Description

As a key member of the Manor Royal Business District's financial operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for the entire region. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Participate in the provision of complete and accurate external and internal financial reporting requirements for the region.
  • Banking and Expense Management: Successfully manage banking transactions, expense claim processes, and balance sheets.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to manage the region's financial responsibilities and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Financial Administration: Oversee the administration of bank accounts, expense claims, and prepayment accounts, including journal postings and reconciliations.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers.
  • Revenue and Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Complete monthly revenue reconciliations and most balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant legal filing requirements.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities within the region.
Requirements:
  • Accounting Qualification: Part qualification towards an accounting qualification with a focus on external reporting (e.g., AAT, ACCA, ACA).
  • Financial Knowledge: Full understanding of financial accounting to trial balance.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Investigate nominal account ledgers and support in the resolution of queries.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge in the use of financial software applications (ERP), databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and desirable in Spanish, both verbal and written.
Work Environment:

Your role will involve some national and international travel. We operate in a hybrid working approach, with 2-3 days in the office per week.
