The University of Manchester is seeking a highly accomplished Reader in Pharmaceutical Science: Medicine Delivery to join our esteemed Division of Pharmacy and Optometry.

As an integral member of our research-driven team, you will spearhead an independent program focused on the design and development of innovative medicine delivery systems. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our existing strengths in this field, fostering collaboration with basic science and clinical researchers across the University.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead a groundbreaking research program in medicine delivery systems, recognized internationally for its impact and innovation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including basic scientists and clinicians, to drive the development of novel projects.
  • Contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences teaching within the Division, enriching undergraduate pharmacy and optometry programs, as well as postgraduate initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in curriculum development and assessment methods, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Your Qualifications

We seek an exceptional individual with:

  • A first-degree in pharmacy or a closely related field (e.g., pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science).
  • A PhD in a relevant area, demonstrating your commitment to research excellence.
  • A distinguished record of internationally recognized research in medicine delivery systems design and development, evidenced by publications and successful grant applications.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and knowledge transfer within research settings.
