About the Role
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a skilled Perioperative Care Practitioner to join their Theatre Department in Prince Charles Hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a scrub practitioner/circulating practitioner for a wide range of surgical specialties.
- Develop and maintain surgical scrub skills in all specialties.
- Work collaboratively with the theatre team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures.
Requirements
- First-level Nursing registration or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Dynamic and proactive approach to work.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in a theatre environment.
- Knowledge of the health service and surgical environment.
