Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Housing Support Officer. This role is essential for assisting individuals with a history of incarceration who are in need of housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand the housing needs of clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to help clients secure accommodation in the private rental market.
  • Manage expectations regarding affordability and suitable living areas.
  • Offer resettlement assistance for a period of up to 12 weeks to ensure a smooth transition into new housing.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of homelessness legislation and current housing challenges.
  • Familiarity with the issues faced by ex-offenders and strategies to address homelessness.
