As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the E-Trading division, you will play a pivotal role as a key member of an agile team dedicated to designing and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your responsibilities will encompass executing essential technology initiatives across various technical domains to support the firm’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the design and development of scalable and resilient systems, contributing to ongoing enhancements for the product team.
  • Collaborate with trading, sales, and product teams to analyze and architect features, systems, and processes that align with business requirements.
  • Implement software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Detect underlying issues and trends in data, leveraging these insights to enhance coding standards and system architecture.
  • Participate in software engineering communities and events that investigate new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding for large, complex, enterprise-level systems utilizing object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience in a front office trading environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic trading systems.
  • Understanding of non-delta one/option financial instruments.
  • Experience with concurrent and event-driven systems.
  • Ability to navigate and work across the entire technology stack.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with Typescript/React.
  • Familiarity with Java.
  • Knowledge of FIX Messaging.
