Qualitative Research Specialist

Position Overview
The primary objective of this position is to perform qualitative investigations with parents and caregivers from low-income backgrounds in the regions of Scotland and England. The individual in this role will oversee all facets of the qualitative research process and will have the chance to engage in dissemination efforts, including presenting findings at academic conferences and publishing results in scholarly and other relevant platforms. A significant responsibility will be to lead the analysis and documentation of the data generated from this initiative.
Key Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Social Policy, Sociology, or a related discipline
- Doctorate in Social Policy or Sociology or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency and background in qualitative research methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of social security policies and practices, along with a strong understanding of poverty theories
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- A confident and proactive work ethic, with a willingness to develop innovative strategies for participant recruitment
