Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to the individual needs of our patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans that promote functional independence, enhance quality of life, and support patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs to develop individualized rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address functional limitations and promote independence in daily living activities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and home modifications to optimize patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapy staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (e.g., BSc(Hons) Occupational Therapy) and be registered with the relevant professional body. Previous experience working with individuals with neurological conditions is highly desirable.
