Your Role

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care, encompassing comprehensive assessments, evidence-based treatment plans, and effective discharge planning. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care that empowers patients to achieve their functional goals.

Rotation Highlights

  • Gain valuable experience across various specialities, including Neurology, Hand Therapy, Surgery, HASU, Acute Stroke, Neurosciences, Major Trauma, Health Care of the Elderly, Cardiorespiratory, and Oncology.
  • Develop your clinical expertise under the guidance of experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapists.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment where collaboration and professional growth are highly valued.

Essential Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid HCPC Registration
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Desirable Requirements

  • Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy
  • Specialized clinical skills in areas such as seating and positioning, postural management, upper limb assessment and treatment, energy conservation/fatigue management, therapeutic manual handling, cognitive assessment and treatment, or capacity assessment.
