Job Summary
Rotational Occupational Therapist - Band 6
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our community rotation at East London NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for OTs to consolidate their Band 6 and clinical skills, while also developing their expertise in a variety of clinical areas.
The rotation will include placements in community therapy teams, rapid response teams, and other specialist services. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in assessment, treatment, and education.
Main Duties
As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy interventions to patients across the care pathway. This will include assessing and developing treatment programs, providing individual and group education, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
About the Role
This is a Band 6 position, and you will be expected to work autonomously, prioritizing your caseload and managing competing demands. You will also be required to participate in joint clinical sessions with your peers and contribute to the development of the therapy team.
Person Specification
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills. You will need to have a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and evidence of ongoing professional development. You will also need to be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to participate in a 7-day rota.
