Job Summary
The Head of EMEA Institutional Business Development will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of Manulife's institutional business in the EMEA region. This role will involve building and overseeing business development and relationship management within the region, as well as shaping and delivering strategic initiatives to support the company's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development and relationship management strategy for the EMEA institutional market, in collaboration with the Global Head of Institutional and other senior management team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects in the EMEA region, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and growing existing relationships.
- Lead a team of sales and relationship managers to achieve sales targets and objectives, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and investment management, to develop and implement strategic initiatives that support the growth of Manulife's institutional business in the EMEA region.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the EMEA institutional market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities, to inform business development and relationship management strategies.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on the performance of the EMEA institutional business, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in business development and relationship management, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of the EMEA institutional market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
- Fluency in at least one additional European language (in addition to English).
