We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to support the finance department at Edwin James Group. As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient financial processes and providing exceptional support to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the finance department in maintaining a customer-centric culture and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
  • Liaise with commercial and operational teams to generate sales invoices and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Communicate with the commercial team to ensure correct allocation of retention and MCD on invoices.
  • Report on aged debt weekly, providing stakeholders with up-to-date cash forecasts.
  • Perform day-to-day financial operations, including credit control and cash management activities.
  • Build relationships with key clients and update stakeholders on changes in key client credit statuses.
  • Process daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash information.
  • Provide accurate financial reports to the Finance Director/Financial Controller in line with month-end processing.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong credit control, sales, and cash management experience.
  • Experience in project accounting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Flexible attitude and proficiency in computer skills.
