Special Needs Primary Teacher - Join a Dedicated Team
Academics is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Primary Teacher to become part of a supportive educational environment focused on students with unique learning requirements.
The ideal candidate will engage with a small cohort of students in year 5/6 who are progressing at a different pace. Experience in phonics instruction is essential, as the class comprises approximately 4 to 5 children, supported by additional staff.
This role is situated within a specialized educational institution catering to young individuals with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and related complex needs, serving ages 5 to 19 years.
This position is full-time and ongoing, with the potential for a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Primary SEN Teacher, ideally within a specialized educational setting.
  • Proficient in designing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to primary education.
  • Develop, implement, and assess personalized educational plans that highlight each pupil's strengths, interests, and learning objectives, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators and support staff to ensure the educational, social, and emotional needs of students are met, maintaining open communication regarding their progress and challenges.
