Position Summary

The Systems Integration and Test Engineer is crucial in the conception, development, and execution of innovative large cargo and handheld engineering initiatives within the Cargo Division. Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and various Cross-Functional Teams, this role demands a deep understanding of systems engineering principles to ensure project success that aligns with essential requirements. A strategic mindset coupled with robust technical expertise and outstanding problem-solving abilities is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, oversight, and utilization of critical engineering project activities related to Cargo and Handheld products across the organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define product/project specifications.
  • Design, develop, and implement system architectures that fulfill product/project goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to make key decisions early in the design phase to minimize technical and scheduling risks.
  • Serve as a primary design reviewer throughout each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the System Integration & Test team to ensure thorough verification and validation testing is conducted with appropriate documentation and traceability.
  • Identify and assist in resolving technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct System Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a relevant domain.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
