Position Summary
The Systems Integration and Test Engineer is essential in the design, development, and execution of innovative large cargo and handheld engineering initiatives within the Cargo Division. Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and various Cross-Functional Teams, this role requires leveraging expertise in systems engineering principles to ensure project success while meeting stringent requirements. A strategic mindset combined with a robust technical foundation and outstanding problem-solving abilities is crucial for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, oversight, and execution of vital engineering project activities related to Cargo and Handheld products across the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders to define product and project specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement system architectures that align with product and project goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve key decisions early in the design phase to minimize technical and scheduling risks.
- Serve as a primary design reviewer throughout each stage of the development lifecycle.
- Work closely with the System Integration & Test team to ensure thorough verification and validation testing is conducted with appropriate documentation and traceability.
- Identify and assist in resolving technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct System Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments, formulating effective mitigation strategies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a relevant domain.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
