Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Systems Analysis Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in our mission to deliver top-tier cargo and vehicle screening systems and services, enabling our clients to effectively combat threats such as terrorism, trade fraud, and smuggling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in the design, development, and execution of innovative large cargo and handheld engineering projects within the Cargo Division.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and various Cross-Functional Teams to apply systems engineering principles and processes, ensuring project success that meets vital requirements.
- Oversee the planning, management, and utilization of key engineering project activities related to Cargo and Handheld products across the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders to define product/project requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement system architectures that align with product/project goals.
- Work alongside cross-functional product teams to identify and resolve key decisions early in the design phase to minimize technical and schedule risks.
- Coordinate with the System Integration & Test group to ensure comprehensive verification and validation testing is conducted with appropriate documentation and traceability.
- Identify and assist in resolving technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct System Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments, developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Systems Engineer in a relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in successfully leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various engineering disciplines.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Experience with system integration, testing, and validation is desirable.
- Familiarity with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Eplan, or SolidWorks is a plus.
