Position Summary

The Systems Integration and Test Engineer is essential in the conception, development, and execution of innovative engineering projects related to large cargo and handheld systems within the Cargo Division. Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and diverse teams, this role demands a deep understanding of systems engineering methodologies to ensure project success in meeting vital specifications. A strategic mindset combined with robust technical expertise and outstanding problem-solving abilities is crucial for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, oversight, and execution of critical engineering project tasks related to Cargo and Handheld products across the organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define product and project requirements.
  • Design and implement system architectures that align with project goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make early design decisions, minimizing technical and scheduling risks.
  • Serve as a primary reviewer of designs throughout the development phases.
  • Work in conjunction with the System Integration & Test team to ensure comprehensive verification and validation testing is conducted with proper documentation and traceability.
  • Identify and address technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct System Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments, formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Create and maintain essential technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to project teams.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a relevant domain.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
