Job Overview
Part-Time Position: 36 hours per week
This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to our team in the Jubilee, which encompasses responsibilities in the day ward, Joint arthroplasty unit, and theatre admissions lounge. Shifts in the day ward and Theatre lounge are 9 hours, while rotations into the Joint arthroplasty unit may include longer shifts, night shifts, and weekend work.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting pre-operative admissions of patients, including comprehensive assessments for MUST, Braden, falls, and manual handling.
- Overseeing post-operative recovery of patients following established nurse-led protocols.
- Providing care within our 9-bedded Joint arthroplasty inpatient unit, addressing post-operative patient needs and escalating concerns as per established guidelines.
- Responding to helpline inquiries from discharged patients.
- Performing follow-up phone calls for daycase patients.
