Job Description

As a key member of the Telefonica Tech team, the Strategic Business Partner will play a critical role in aligning People functions with organizational goals. This individual will work closely with line managers to address workforce needs proactively, implementing People initiatives and managing talent and development approaches to achieve shared organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the organization, its strategy, customers, and people challenges. They will act as a point of people expertise, implementing specific people approaches to meet the challenges of the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Strategy Implementation: Ensure the people strategy is implemented within the area, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Talent Management: Work with the business to retain top talent through recruitment, onboarding, and talent development programs, ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations issues, working with the area to resolve conflict and maintain a positive work environment, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management systems, provide feedback, and assist in creating development plans for employees, driving individual and team performance.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Collaborate on initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, culture, and employee engagement, ensuring a high-performing team.
  • HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with legal regulations, assisting in HR policy development and implementation.
  • Change Management: Support the organization through periods of change, assisting in managing transition, such as restructuring, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Business Partnership: Consult weekly with business leaders, preparing data, analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the People group to develop solutions and improve workforce efficiency.
  • Learning and Development: Develop learning material and deliver practical training sessions to the area in line with development needs, enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Guidance: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance, coaching, and counseling on improving performance, career development, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
  • CIPD level 5 or Qualified by experience
  • Experience of supporting the organization through periods of change, assisting in managing transition
  • Experience of performance management and leadership development
  • Strong data and reporting experience
  • Ability to challenge and support key business areas with change
  • Deep understanding of HR practices
  • Previous experience of supporting a Tech Healthcare team is advantageous
