The Opportunity

In this position, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and the broader HR team to formulate, shape, and implement HR strategies and solutions.

You will provide guidance, support, and advice to managers, and when necessary, take a leading role in organizational transformations, including business restructuring, redundancies, TUPE transfers, acquisitions, and negotiations with unions regarding annual compensation.

Your role will encompass advising and supporting managers throughout the employee lifecycle, including performance management, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, engagement, and wellbeing.

Who are you?

Ideally, you possess extensive experience within a large, geographically diverse commercial organization and have a solid grasp of employment legislation, particularly in areas such as absence management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

You are accustomed to partnering with key stakeholders, proactively coaching managers and leaders on all facets of people management, leadership development, and team engagement to foster improved workplace environments.

Additionally, you are hands-on and capable of thriving in a fast-paced operational setting, managing day-to-day employee relations while also overseeing projects that drive business transformation, collaborating with unions at all levels.

Experienced in facilitating change management, you are skilled at crafting stakeholder communications and executing HR-related projects that align with the business strategy.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

  • Identifying risks and opportunities, intervening early through a comprehensive understanding of the broader business context, including KPIs, financial status, business intelligence, and external market trends.
  • Utilizing your analytical skills to generate insights and create people-focused interventions from various data sources, producing reports on topics such as absence and attrition rates, disciplinary and grievance issues, salary information, and pay benchmarking.
  • Demonstrating experience in integrating businesses post-acquisition and enjoying the challenge of working with diverse cultures while focusing on aligning people activities.
