As a Senior Development Officer within our Majors and Business Team, you will navigate a stimulating and varied portfolio of intricate applications. With our emerging local plan nearing completion, this is a pivotal moment to become part of our team. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior staff, presenting cases to the Planning Committee, and leading appeals.
Set against one of the most stunning backdrops in the UK, you will play a vital role in managing planning applications, handling pre-application inquiries, and overseeing appeals. A commitment to performance excellence and customer service is essential, alongside a focus on achieving high-quality design.
The Chichester District boasts a vibrant economy, leading to demands for both residential and commercial development. Covering over 300 square miles in West Sussex, our district is bordered by Hampshire and Sussex, with a significant portion located within the South Downs National Park. Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified and seasoned planner with outstanding communication abilities, possessing a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience. Experience in managing complex planning applications is preferred.
