Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and upkeep of a comprehensive risk assessment database to evaluate the risk level associated with each product category and supplier.
- Support the creation of a structured evaluation framework for various product types, ensuring trust and reliability based on risk assessments and performance history.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of safety regulations pertinent to each product category, conducting rapid research to incorporate new requirements into the evaluation process.
- Collaborate with procurement teams and manufacturers to integrate branded evaluation and documentation checks into the purchasing workflow, fostering confidence in our supply chain.
- Monitor safety investigations and product recalls, ensuring prompt actions are taken to eliminate any unsafe products from circulation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in product development, safety standards, and quality management practices.
- Strong grasp of current and emerging technologies.
- Awareness of the procurement process to conduct necessary evaluations without delaying market entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with product design methodologies, including lifecycle modeling and cost management, is desirable.
