Role Overview:
At Currys plc, we're committed to ensuring the safety and quality of our products. As a Product Safety Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of our risk assessment database, identifying potential hazards and determining the risk level for each product subcategory and supplier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a structured evaluation process for each product type and trust level based on risk and performance history
- Collaborate with buying teams and manufacturers to ensure branded evaluation and documentation checks are embedded into the purchasing critical path
- Monitor internal and external safety investigations and product recalls to prevent/remove unsafe products from the business
Requirements:
- Experience of product development, safety requirements, and quality management procedures
- Good understanding of current and developing technologies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
