Exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a diverse team of bookkeeping analysts and seniors in a leading firm's Business Advisory Department. Our client is a renowned provider of financial services and advice to both business and private clients. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to develop your career, whether within the team or by developing knowledge and skills in a different area of the business or personal development.

The Role:

  • Lead a team of bookkeeping professionals, inspiring and motivating them to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and deliver proposals to prospects, building internal relationships and external networking.
  • Demonstrate extensive practical knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Confidently use software such as Xero, Sage, Dext, QuickBooks, ApprovalMax, and Go Proposal, and train others in their efficient use.
  • Review and approve bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT returns completed by team members.
  • Manage the workflow of the bookkeeping team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to agree on bookkeeping and VAT return submission timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding bookkeeping work.
  • Occasionally visit client offices to set up and maintain bookkeeping records and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Embody agility, innovation, and a willingness to adapt to new ideas.
  • AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Highly organized, with prior bookkeeping and people management experience.
  • Strong IT skills and experience working with various accountancy systems.
