Job Title: Midwife with a Special Interest in Diabetes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Midwife with a Special Interest in Diabetes. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for providing high-quality care to women with diabetes and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist midwifery care to women with diabetes, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
  • Work closely with the Lead Midwife for Diabetes to develop and implement evidence-based care pathways for women with diabetes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care for women with diabetes.
  • Provide education and support to women with diabetes, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines for diabetes care in maternity services.
Requirements:
  • Registered Midwife with a strong background in midwifery care.
  • Experience in providing care to women with diabetes, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for women with diabetes.
  • Knowledge of care pathways for women with diabetes in pregnancy, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
