Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Boundary Trails Health Centre. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing goals
  3. Provide direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Requirements:

  1. Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  2. Eligible for membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email/outlook
  4. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  7. Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions

Working Conditions:

This position requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred for a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
