We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing client-centered care to children and adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence as a member of a regional rehabilitation team. You will participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services, using a goal-oriented approach. Your responsibilities will include assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and public education and training within various settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client goals and needs.
- Provide direct intervention services, including speech and language therapy, to clients in various settings.
- Consult with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to provide education and support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of client progress and treatment plans.
- Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
- Eligible for membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email/outlook.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
- Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to work in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings. A valid Class 5 driver's license and liability insurance are required.
