STFC is dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting UK technology start-ups through various Business Incubation initiatives. Our programs are designed to assist start-ups in developing new products or services and achieving commercial success. Over the past thirteen years, we have successfully supported more than 140 UK start-ups, leading to the creation of over 1,000 skilled jobs.

Role Overview:
This newly established position will play a crucial role in managing and expanding our Incubation Programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Program Managers to ensure the effective delivery of our initiatives. This role is intended for professional growth, with the potential for advancement into Programme Manager positions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Programme Managers in attracting a diverse range of applicants to the Business Incubation Programs by identifying potential start-ups and guiding them through the application process.
• Support start-ups in fulfilling their incubation plans and maximizing the benefits of the technical and business assistance provided.
• Serve as a primary contact for incubated start-ups regarding program-related inquiries.
• Create and disseminate high-quality content (case studies, blogs, position papers) to enhance the visibility and promotion of the Business Incubation Programs.
• Conduct research on emerging technology and investment trends in relevant sectors.
• Organize and facilitate events that align with the objectives of the Business Incubation Programs.
• Represent the Business Incubation Programs at industry events, including trade shows and conferences.

Person Specification:
Essential:
• A strong interest in advanced technology and the commercialization of innovations.
• Experience in supporting business development initiatives, such as market research and sales strategy development.
• Ability to produce high-quality content for marketing and reporting purposes.
• Proactive project management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and networking abilities, with the capacity to engage with diverse audiences.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Desirable:
• Experience in a start-up or scale-up support environment, such as an incubator or accelerator program.
